During its 23 years, the Lansing Black College Tour (LBCT) has been to many educational institutions.
Orlando “Pepper” Livas, II was one of the young men who has attended the LBCT for two years in a row.
Lansing Police Department has established a website page for cold cases. Cold cases are homicide cases that have not been solved within one year of the date of the crime.
Homicide suspect, 45-year-old, Derrick Scott McClure, awaits sentencing.
On Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at approximately 10:30 p.m. the Lansing Police Department was dispatched to the 2900 block of S. Washington in regard to a male subject stuck in the opening of a large metal donation bin located in a parking lot.
At this year’s 2014 Community Pillar Awards gala honored the following five esteemed individuals for their invaluable contributions to Greater Lansing and the State of Michigan: Wendell Barron, Barbara Roberts Mason, James W. Butler III, Renee Freeman and A. Gregory Eaton.
