RAHSAAN PATTERSON STARTS PROMOTION OF HIS AFTER HOURS RELEASE AT WARNER THEATER IN WASHINGTON, DC
After a successful Europe release Rahsaan Patterson finally releases the album in the U.S. The album, "After Hours," is on his Artistry Music label. The first single "Forever Yours" was producer by Mike City.
"Only change in this album (than the one release in Europe) is three bonus songs," Rahsaan says of the album.
Patterson says he just wants to reach the people, as many as possible. He says he feels blessed to just be able to put out a record. "Music translates to the soul of people," Rahsaan stressed to me. "People have not been feed and their starving."
Rahsaan says with "After Hours" he wants to let people see the "party" side of him. Known for being a smooth singer, Patterson breaks his mold with this one. This singer/songwriter/producer has written songs for Jodi Watley, Chico DeBarge, and Tevin Campbell. He collaborated with Keith Crouch to write the triple-platinum selling Brandy hit "Baby."
An ideal tour for Rahsaan to promote the "After Hour" release would include Lala Hathaway, Lauryn Hill and Chaka Khan.
CASH MONEY HOT PRODUCER, MANNIE FRESH, RELEASES HIS SOLO DEBUT ON UNIVERSAL MOTOWN RECORDS
Aside from being the producer for Cash Money, Mannie Fresh is also a member of the Big Tymers. He recently released his solo debut album on Universal Motown Records titled "The Mind of Mannie Fresh."
You’ll find collaborations with Lil’ Wayne, David Banner and Big Tymers’ Baby. The first single released is "Real Big."
"I credit Jesus and good family," Mannie Fresh says about his successes. "My mother kind of knew this was what I wanted to do."
Mannie says the album is apart of his character, that music is his life. He says he would love to tour with TI and David Banner. If you look at his credits you certainly can tell music is his life. Having produced on over 20 albums, such as the Hot Boys platinum "Guerilla Warfare" album; BG’s platinum selling "Chopper City in the Ghetto"; Juvenile’s multi-platinum album "400 Degreez"; Baby’s platinum selling "The Birdman"; Big Tymers’ platinum selling "Hood Rich," and most recently Lil’ Wayne’s "The Cater" and Teena Marie’s "La Dona." As a member of the Big Tymers he has released five albums and sold over four million albums.
Advice he gives to others is, "First off don’t believe in nobody, you do it yourself. I worked for everything I have. When people hand me a CD, I say do it yourself."
