Dear Readers,I have been head over heels in love with life these days. Things are going good. I have loyal friends. Business is getting better. I am more focused. I am branching out more. I spend a lot of time on the phone and email with non related business issues. I am cutting back.
Sorry, but I would not be who I am for you if not for the newspaper. I love people but I am requesting that you love me back and understand that I cannot give to every organization or write about every winner of every contest. But keep sending your information, you never know when those stories may become handy to use or the information may become a source for another story. You are all amazing to me.
We have a survey that we need our readers to fill out. Knowing who reads the paper is important. It will be very helpful for our marketing plan as we go into 2012.

I am proud to say that we surpassed 4,000 hits per month on www.tncp.net recently. I am pretty excited. There are going to be some major positive changes in 2012, I can feel it.
2011 has been an amazing year. I really mean it too. I am not just saying it.
This year I decided to have a “Celebration of Life” party for my father, Alvin E. Haynes, Sr. He died in 2007. We all have different relationships and different stories that we tend to create for ourselves. Of course, the sense of loss was there but I could tell that he was there in spirit. About 40 of my friends and acquaintances came out to support my father’s birthday on August 18, 2011 (photo on Page 1). It was an amazing time. I was at peace. We allow ourselves to wallow in sadness and use it as an excuse. Well no more for me. I am going to start having more “Celebration of Life” parties.
My mother, Kay Carrington, is coming to visit (she is so funny). I am having a “Celebration of Life” party for her birthday. It is surprise. She has never had a birthday party. She is going to be 65. Her birthday is in December but she will be back in Georgia. Why not!
We will be at The Asian House at 1001 E. Grand River Avenue in East Lansing (almost directly across the street from 7-11)
on Thursday, October 13 from 7:00pm – 10:00pm. Come celebrate life with us.
