The Lansing Fire Department was dispatched to 4000 Brighton on Lansing’s Southwest side at 2137 hours on a report of a residential garage fire. First arriving crews at 2140 hours reported heavy fire from the detached two car garage and two vehicles nearby also burning.
The fire destroyed the garage along with two vehicles outside and a third vehicle located inside the garage.
An ocupant of the residence suffered a minor burn to his hand when he tried to open the garage door and he was treated at the scene by Lansing Fire Department Paramedics.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Lansing Fire Department Fire Marshall’s Division.
Citizens are reminded to not run exetension cords under carpets or to overload circuts with lights during this Holiday season.
