Lansing, MI — CATA’s Spartan Service, which provides additional bus service during Michigan State University’s fall and spring semesters, will conclude for the summer, effective May 5 – Aug. 24, 2014. This service break will affect MSU campus service on Routes 30-36, 39, Lot Link and Night Owl. Additionally, service on Routes 1, 25, 26 and Entertainment Express will be reduced to reflect lower student demand on campus. Route 1 – Downtown Lansing/Meridian Mall: Route 1 will not operate Friday or Saturday Late Night service after 11:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the last bus departs Meridian Mall at 10:55 p.m. en route to the CATA Transportation Center. Weekday buses will continue depart every 10 to 15 minutes throughout the day and early evening; every 20 minutes later in the evening. Some Saturday departures will vary by up to
5 minutes. Sunday service is not impacted.
Routes 20 – 23: Routes 20, 22 and 23 will travel into the MSU-CATA Transportation Center across from Shaw Hall to give customers convenient access to the facility’s amenities. These routes will continue to serve the boarding area at the corner of Shaw Lane and Farm Lane.
