Blondie’s Barn is hosting a Thanksgiving meal, hoping to serve those who may otherwise go without. The event will be held from noon – 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, at Blondie’s Barn, 5640 Marsh Road in Haslett. All are welcome to participate in this community event, and no pre-registration is required. The event is free, but anyone wishing to make a donation can contribute to the Haslett Food Pantry.
To help mitigate the spread of Covid-19, pre-packaged dinners will be served curbside in the parking lot. Guests are asked to wear a mask while picking up meals.
“We started this Thanksgiving meal seven years ago as a way to give back to the community,” stated Andrew Manuel, owner of Blondie’s Barn. “Over time, we realized how rewarding it is and how much it feels like family, even when people are sitting together who didn’t know each other. And while we can’t dine together, we feel that this year is more important than ever to try to connect those who are lonely and isolated with a bit of hope and kindness.”
