Michael Flowers is the Director of Human Resources for the Lansing Board of Water & Light, Lansing, MI. He serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Peckham Industries, Inc., past President of the Capital Healthcare and Employment Council (CHEC), past President and current Advisory Board Member for the Mid-Michigan Chapter of Labor & Employment Relations Association (LERA), Board Member for the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition (GLHC), Board Member for North West Initiative (NWI) of Lansing, MI, and Advisory Board Member for the Westside YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing, MI. Michael is also an Adjunct Professor at Lansing Community College (LCC), and has been a guest lecturer at Michigan State University, Olivet College, and Central Michigan University.
Michael has a designation of Professional in Human Resource management (PHR) and holds a Master Degree from Michigan State University in Labor Relations and Human Resources, and has a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from Northwood University. Michael is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Human Resource Management International Public Management Association for Human Resource (IPMA-HR), and Human Resource Management Association of Mid-Michigan (HRMAMM).
Michael is a native of Lansing, MI and a product of the Lansing School District. He is married to Pamela Flowers, and has three daughters, Raven, Brianna and Hayle.
