(BPRW) In January, Washington, D.C. will experience heavy tourism due to the inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama. If your only knowledge of the D.C. area comes from watching political news coverage, there’s more to learn. An inauguration is not the only reason to visit this city, and the D.C. area has much to offer travelers of all ages and interests beyond politics.
Bullying has affected many students negatively. Unfortunately, some adults don’t take it seriously. The student in the story inside decided to fight the system.
(BPRW) Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of the most important and prolific leaders of the Civil Rights movement. He is remembered for his message of peace and nonviolence and devoted his life to making sure that all people had equal rights.
LANSING, MI – A new exhibit juxtaposing the work of art teacher Jacquie Vaughan with those of her students at Lansing’s Shabazz Public School Academy will be displayed February 8 through April 25, 2009 at the Michigan Women’s Historical Center. A free public reception for the exhibit, entitled “Potpourri,” is scheduled for Sunday, February 8 at the historical center from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

I’m upset. I’m actually livid right now. Reality sets in when you realize that there’s a person who ruined the lives of thousands if not millions. The atrocities that he dealt demands a special assembly, a call for action, a verbal uprising, a civil march or something cataclysmic.
This cruel, insensitive man is 70-year-old Bernard “Bernie” Madoff (pronounce MADE-OFF). He “made off” with 1 life and 50 billion dollars ($50,000,000,000) so far. In my opinion, he’s a murderer and a thief. He swindled both the extremely rich and the extremely poor.
