News Spotlight: AFRICAN AMERICAN PARADE AND FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN SUMMER OF 2012
The Capital City African American Cultural Association (CCAACA) today announced that the 2011 Parade and Family Heritage Festival will be postphoned due to the challenges of the economy and the unexpected rising costs of holding the annual event. The Parade and Festival summertime event, which began in 2000 to celebrate the African American presence and the rich diversity in mid-Michigan, features marching bands, floats, food, vendors, and music in dowtown Lansing.
