Popular culture often depicts fraternities in an unfavorable light, by showing them to be heavily oriented towards partying and trouble-making activities. Although certain stereotypes about them may be true, fraternities, in fact, are instrumental to helping their communities through service projects and volunteering, while also establishing a close-knit companionship amongst their members.
Phi Chapter of the Phi Iota Alpha Latino Fraternity of Michigan State University (MSU) serves as an exemplary brotherhood that shows admirable commitment to helping their community.

Pudding has long been one of the ultimate comfort foods, both soothing and delicious. And, along with other old-fashioned treats like cupcakes and pies, the dessert has been coming back into vogue lately, with popular restaurants serving everything from caramel pudding (often finished with a touch of sea salt) to bittersweet chocolate pudding to old-fashioned banana or coconut puddings.

Rina Risper has invited you to Keep the P.E.A.C.E. & Stop the Silence March – Saturday – April 28, 2012, said the little red flag on my Facebook account. Hm. What’s that?
P.E.A.C.E. means police enforcement and community engagement. Dona nobis pachem. Latin for “give us peace”. I sang that song acapella so many times in my Catholic church choir. The song sweetly demands peace.

Excuse me, are you listening? 11-9
Dear Readers,
On Saturday, April 28th, 2012, I was one of three responsible for one of the most emotional events I have ever experienced, the “Keep the P.E.A.C.E. & Stop the Violence” march. It was my first time being involved in the process. I spent countless hours visiting churches and other groups to get support for this initiative and when I woke up the clouds were threatening and it was chilly. I was undaunted.
Ask Tamara: She Wants Me to Throw Out Photos of My Ex
Dear Tamara:
My wife was cleaning out the attic and found a box with several photos I had of ex girlfriends and mementos from previous relationships. All of the photos and items are really old and have been in that box in the attic long before we got married and she moved in.
She is upset because I refused to throw them all away. She says that I am disrespecting her and our marriage by keeping them. She accused me of living in the past. I tried to explain to her that they were just old photos and memories from my past, long before she and I ever even met.
