Excuse Me… 7-12

Dear Readers,

As we prepare ourselves to go through the next growing phase at The New Citizens Press, we’re beginning to experience growing pains.

The phone rings non-stop and our advertisements are starting to come in regularly and our readership has expanded.  We had 1,156 hits on our website www.tncp.net in June.  We’d like to thank you for your support.  Continue to log on and read about the stories that we previously brought you in the paper.  There are also comment sections on each story that are open to you.

We’re also have a “WIN NCG Movie Tickets” bar on the right side of the website.  Our winner this month was Baiyina McCausey.

On the day that I wrote this, I experienced many challenges, including technical issues that may have delayed this edition.  Thank goodness we were prepared.

As I picked up my two youngest from summer camp, I read a quote on the back of a Granger (trash) truck.  It was garbage day on the Southside of Lansing and  over the radio blared a severe weather watch.

Out of the dark gray skies the rain began to fall lightly and I thought about the quote again.  It said, “Present pains lead to permanent gains”.  I began to think about this past year alone and how hard it is to continue when you’re not feeling well or when your entire system crashes and you don’t know why.

I’ll call Granger and tell them that I appreciate the positive comments that they put on the back of their trucks.

We want to hear from you about the good, the bad or the just plain ugly.

Very soon we’ll be distributing a survey for you to fill out and send back to us.  We need your feedback to make us the best that we can be in today’s environment.

I hope that we’ve been a useful resource to you.  I’m especially relying on my readers who miss editions to e-mail me for a subscription.  We need you just as much as you need us. Become involved in our growth so that you can be a part of our future.

Sincerely,

Rina Risper
