EAST LANSING, MI — On March 17, 2025 at approximately 5:13 p.m., police officers from the East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) were dispatched to a shooting call at a gas station on the corner of Lake Lansing and Abbot Roads.
Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting, but the suspect, or suspects, and the victim had left the area.
The victim did arrive at a local hospital and is receiving treatment. At this time, the victim’s injuries appear non-life-threatening.
Upon initial investigation, this shooting does not appear to be random. There does not appear to be any risk to the general public.
This is a preliminary investigation and a further update will be provided tomorrow (March 18, 2025).
The East Lansing Police Department is asking for assistance from anyone who may have seen this incident or who may have video evidence or know where any video evidence may be.
