Kelvin “Monroe” Bates was arrested today (without incident) at 11:10 a.m. on the 1000 block of Woodale Lane in Eaton County, Michigan in reference to the August 31, 2012 shooting fatality on the 3100 block of Turner St of 36-year-old Micah Arnold.
Bates was arrested by Lansing Police Department Detectives who were led by Sergeant Detective William Byrnes who is scheduled to retire after 25 years tomorrow September 6, 2012, the citizens of Lansing will greatly miss the devotion and expertise of Detective Sergeant William “Bill” Byrnes.
Detectives had followed up with a host of tips and evidence which led them to the accused. The accused is charged with a host of felony charges of which will be released upon his arraignment, more than likely tomorrow September 6, 2102
