Update to 12/22/2012 Homicide 1000 Block Kelsey
The below homicide victim is identified as Lavoris Tinisha Watkins, 26 year old female Lansing resident. On December 26, 2012, the Lansing Police Department released that she died as a result of a gunshot wound.
On Saturday December 22, 2012 at 3:17 p.m. officers responded to a residence on the 1000 block of Kelsey Ave on a witness report that the front door of the residence was left ajar. Upon arrival, officers performed a security check of the home and located a 26 year old Lansing female unresponsive. The female in question was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Lansing Police Department Investigations Division is investigating the death as a homicide.
