Above is the type of accused vehicle in the hit and run (not actual vehicle). Moreover, investigators are continuing their efforts to locate the victim’s next of kin. As a result, the victim’s name is not being released at this time.
On May 13, 2013 at 11:26 p.m. officers responded to the area of Pennsylvania and Michigan on report of a personal injury traffic accident. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim a 69 year old Lansing Township male had been struck by a vehicle while crossing Michigan Ave. The victim was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased at 12:27 a.m. The LPD is attempting to locate the victim’s next of kin and at this time is not releasing the victim’s name.
The accused vehicle is described as a newer modeled light blue colored Chevy Cruze which was last seen heading east bound Michigan Ave from the scene.
