Psalm 147:3 “He helps the broken hearted and binds their wounds.”

Theme:  God’s Peace is Accessible to All.
The Josephine Brown Women’s Missionary Society invites people of all ages to a Workshop on Mental Health on Saturday, May 17 beginning with continental breakfast at 9:00 am at Trinity AME Church located at 3500 West Holmes Road.
The workshop presenter is Lansing native, Dr. Falyne J. Fry.   Dr. Fry’s presentation on mental health has received rave reviews by the International Women’s Prayer Convocation held in Chicago last year and more recently the North District Conference of the AME Church in March, 2014.  The workshop topics include: Depression, Suicide, Anxiety, Bi-polar disorder, Relationships & Self Esteem and Mental Health & Spirituality.  Dr. Fry is interested in answering questions  particularly from young people and interested adults. Participants will be able to submit written questions if they wish to remain anonymous.
Many people think there is shame attached to mental illness and Dr. Fry will help to remove the stigma and enlighten those present of the change.  Dr. Fry’s ultimate goal is to see men and women healed and living victoriously for the Lord.
There is no charge for this workshop; however an opportunity for participants to support the cost of the breakfast will be available via a free-will offering.
Dr. Fry graduated from Sexton High School, the University of Michigan and the Michigan State University’s Medical School.  She is in her final year in the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.
