LANSING — Lansing area animal lovers can get an adorable photo of their pet with the Easter Bunny and help the Lansing Jaycees raise funds for local animal welfare organizations at the fifth annual “Pet Photos with the Easter Bunny” event. For a suggested $5 donation or a wish list item, you can get a photo of your pet or child with the Lansing Jaycees’ Easter Bunny.
The first Pet Photos with the Easter Bunny will take place Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Preuss Pets, 1127 N. Cedar St. in Lansing. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Animal Placement Bureau (APB). The top wish list items for APB are bath towels, or blankets, KONG or other durable toys, postage stamps, paper towels and medium/large bones. For more information please visit their website at www.apbpets.com/donations.htm.
APB is a volunteer foster care network with no paid staff and no sheltering facility. All of the dogs in their care live with volunteers.
The second event will take place Sunday, March 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Soldan’s Pet Supplies, 6201 W. Saginaw Highway. Proceeds from this event will benefit Ingham County Animal Control. “The Lansing Jaycees have been running our Pet Photos with the Easter Bunny for several years and we always look forward to it,” said Michael P. Leeds, 87th president of the Lansing Jaycees. “It is a great opportunity to help out the often forgotten members of our society, our animals, by raising money for shelters in our area.”
