News Spotlight: Lansing Police Department- Homicide Investigation

On Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:50 am, the Lansing Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Ramada on a call of an unresponsive subject. While conducting their investigation, Officers located the female subject non-responsive within a motel room. Lansing Fire Department responded to the scene and determined the female to be deceased.
 
Detectives from the Michigan State Police and Lansing Police Department are currently conducting an on-going homicide investigation. Detectives identified a person of interest who was taken into custody out of state on unrelated charges. An autopsy will be conducted at a later date to determine the cause of death.
 
At this time, there is no indication of any threats to public safety.
The Lansing Police Department will update the case once more information is available.
