Dear Readers,
I am not sure about you but I do not think there will ever be a day again in my life that I will not sincerely appreciate a hug or seeing a smile. It has been a roller coaster in our mental, physical and spiritual health even though it has been a year since the first signs of COVID-19 started to show up in the United States. I am inhaling deeply while writing this. I am grateful for good health. I have not felt this well in a long time. I wonder if it is because people are keeping things cleaner and more sanitized.
The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically transformed the way that we are living. Our whole social structure is being determined by how we are managing our new normal of mask-wearing and social distancing.
Yes, life is beautiful and amazing… however, check the names of your executor, trustee, lawyer, and guardian for your children under the age of 18 especially if you had a life change or you are single. It is also important if you have been working at a job and they have employee life insurance. Remember if you get laid off that insurance will cease to exist or you may have to pay for it yourself. Take care of that so you can make sure that your family is protected.
Recently while sorting through boxes, I started coming across paperwork that had been in my face and present for years but, I did not really read them.
I wrote a note to make some phone calls the next morning.
You may need to change the executor of your will. Please look OVER your paperwork. Change your will, change your beneficiaries if need be. Add a contingent beneficiary too.
Do not get so wrapped up in everyday life that you forget who is in your corner today. I can’t even imagine having someone in charge of ANY of my assets that is not in line with my goals today.
It is those hidden things that can make life BIZARRE. Please take care of them now and do not forget about your 401k’s or your bank accounts.
Again, if you have minors, please make arrangements especially if you know you have a greedy family member and both parents die at the same time. The one thing I do know is that we only die once.
Have an amazing day and remember to be easy on yourself and others, mask up and stay safe.
Support your local eateries! They really need it right now. We have been staying at home and eating in but take out is a super option as well.
Lovepeople,
Rina Risper
