ALL ABOUT: Texas Talent Musicians Association, Producers of the annual Tejano Music Awards

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) is a non-profit state chartered organization whose purpose is to promote excellence in the Tejano Music Industry. The Organization produces the annual Tejano Music Awards and other related events. 
 
It’s organization whose purpose is to promote professional excellence; a better understanding and greater appreciation for Tejano music; and to provide a public forum for songwriters, performers and musicians in order to recognize their artistic efforts and achievements through the annual Tejano Music Awards and related events. TTMA is based in San Antonio, Texas: “The Tejano Music Capital Of The World.”®
 
Since 1980, the Tejano Music Awards and various other special events produced by TTMA have provided a forum to create greater awareness and appreciation for Tejano music. This music format has been a tradition in the state of Texas and is now transcending regional and cultural boundaries throughout the United States as well as internationally.
 
A reflection of its popularity is the yearly increase of crowds that travel to San Antonio each year to attend the Tejano Music Awards. The Tejano Music Awards have been a tradition in the state of Texas since 1980 and are held annually to recognize and honor Tejano music and artists of that music genre. 
 
The awards have a fan following from all over the United States that includes Texas as well as California, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Ohio, Idaho, Florida, Georgia and from as far as Mexico. The Tejano Music Awards carry great and cultural significance in that they represent strong cultural ties and a heritage that continues to bind many Hispanics across the United States – even after 32 years!
 
32nd Annual Tejano Music Awards was held Saturday, August 18, 2012. The long-running and exciting awards show was held at the beautiful Illusions Theater located inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
