Arrests Made in Long Blvd. Shooting

 On Saturday, March 8, 2014 at approximately 5:26 p.m. Lansing Police were dispatched to the area of 900 Long Blvd. in regard to several calls of gun shots being fired. Witnesses gave Ingham County dispatch description of possible involved subjects and a car they were getting into. Dispatch gave this information to responding Officers.

 
Within minutes, Officers located the vehicle witnesses described at Cedar and Miller and attempted to stop it. The Vehicle did not stop and traveled West on Miller. Within seconds of the pursuit, it ended near Miller and Schafer when the vehicle lost control and struck a tree. All four occupants, which included the driver exited the car and ran away on foot. Officers gave chase and with the assistance of Police K-9, all subjects were placed into custody. All were transported to the Lansing detention facility. No one, public or vehicle occupants, were injured during the pursuit and accident.
 
Officers and Detective investigation with regard to the shots fired is ongoing and future charges may come as a result. Officers did submit reports and charge request to the Ingham County Prosecutor on other charge(s).
 
March 10, 2014, charges were issued on all four suspects (see below) and three of the four were arraigned in 54-A District court in front of Judge Cherry. The Fourth subject was arraigned today (see below)

Charles William Pops, 19 year old Lansing man  (Upper left)
CHARGE:
Count 1: Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing (Felony)
BOND: $7,500. Cash/Surety
 
Mario Dante Ricks, 25 year old Lansing man (Upper right)
CHARGE:
Count 1: Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing (Felony)
BOND: $5,000. (10%)
 
Marcell D’Jon Davis, 18 year old Lansing man (Lower right)
CHARGE:
Count 1: Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing (Felony)
BOND: $7,500. (10%)
 
Narrion Lamont Caston, 18 year old Lansing man (Lower left)
CHARGE:
Count 1: Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing (Felony)
BOND: $75,000. Cash/Surety
 
 
 
All four subjects have the following hearings scheduled in 54-A District court in front of Judge Cherry:
Pre-Exam Conference: Monday, 3/17/14 @ 1:30 pm
Preliminary Hearing: Thursday, 3/20/14 @ 10:30 am

Narrion Lamont Caston was also arraigned (3/10/14) on the following charges for an incident that occurred on 9/17/13 in the area of Ottawa and Spencer.
