My getaway will possibly include ancient sites and traditional tourist attractions. Nevertheless, I mostly prefer finding off the beaten path that makes fun and unique trip. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a breathtaking blaze of colors during many months of the year. It has all kind of activities & actions in its 15 acres of plants and blooms, shrubs and trees. Georgia’s Stone Mountain State Park is open at 6am-midnight every day; Attractions: 10am-closing daily (the closing differs seasonally). This is one of the world’s only exposed granite mountain and the park has 3,200 acres of land. You can go by sky lift to the top, 825 ft up for some breathtaking views of Atlanta.
Winter operation hours start mid August and last through mid June. The park opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. daily. The first tour of Dr. King’s Birth Home starts at 10:00 a.m. and the last tour for the day is 5:00 p.m. The Birth Home tour lasts 30 minutes and is conducted every hour.
