LANSING, MI — In the fall of 2024, after several years of quiet rebuilding, NewYoungFathers.com, made its powerful return with a renewed vision: cultivating responsible, supportive, and productive fathers, just when they’re needed most.
For more information, visit their new website: www.WeAreNewYoungFathers.com.
It all began with a single moment: founder André Dandridge, a former young father turned community resource and mentor, was invited unexpectedly to speak at a Job Corps session. “I never imagined that my words could resonate so deeply,” he recalls. But as he shared his journey, he heard the voices of countless young men who felt seen. That evening, André knew his calling was far from over—and that his purpose lay in walking alongside teen and young fathers, helping them rewrite their stories.
Starting in late 2024, André and a small, passionate team began rebuilding the organization, creating new curriculum, reigniting community partnerships, and launching a virtual support hub. In May of this year, NewYoungFathers.com proudly began working out of the Diamond Mind Solutions/517-Counseling facility on Holmes Road in Lansing, Michigan. This location is now a hub of hope and opportunity for young fathers ready to grow.
NewYoungFathers.com will launch its brand-new quarterly program: Young Fathers Work Hard: Strategies for Success. This exciting seminar series will begin on August 9th in Lansing, MI at 2 pm at 2025 W. Holmes Road, Suite 2, Lansing, MI. One was recently held on July 12th in Grand Rapids, MI, with a focus on Personal Finance and Career Development. The program is designed to help participants build sustainable careers and gain confidence as fathers and providers.
Back in 2012, NewYoungFathers.com was honored with Detroit’s BMe Leadership Award for empowering young Black fathers (michiganbusinessnetwork.com, knightfoundation.org). Later, he was named a Game Changer by NewsOne, and now brings decades of hard-won expertise to this next chapter.
Thriving in 2025: What’s Ahead
NewYoungFathers.com has lined up multiple events for 2025 (see their upcoming events page), including virtual support groups, career-focused workshops, and community gatherings. Each initiative reflects their expanded mission: not just helping fathers survive, but enabling them to thrive—personally, professionally, and as parents.
From one Job Corps session to a thriving movement across Michigan, NewYoungFathers.com is rebuilding a legacy of hope, resilience, and community.
