LANSING, MI –Brett Morris, 31, and Jennifer Zavala, 23, of Lansing spent almost 3 hours standing in line at Gone Wired Café on August 2, 2008 to get free tickets to see Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.  Their daughter, Misaela who is 1 year old, attended her first Presidential rally.

Morris said, “I am excited about Obama’s run for Presidency.  It was important for my family to be here today and hear what he has to say.  My hope is that he will help make college accessible to more people.”

Obama celebrated his birthday on August 4, 2008, as he spoke to an excited group of people primarily about the economy and energy issues at the Lansing Center.  (Log on to www.tncp.net for the entire speech.)

Peggie and Rochelle “Sonny” Price have been married for 49 years.  Peggie said the first Presidential candidate that she can remember in Lansing was John F. Kennedy when he spoke on the Capitol steps in the 60’s.

Peggie and Rochelle agreed that it’s an exciting time in political history and they were pleased to have an opportunity to witness it.

Peggie said, “Tell your friends and family to get involved and vote!”
