As the name suggests, the Cadillac Club is filled with Cadillac memorabilia and a life sized vintage 1959 Cadillac. But it is so much more than that, previously a bowling alley in the heart of REO Town, located 1115 S. Washington Avenue, Lansing, MI, the Cadillac Club holds some of Lansing’s most interesting artifacts and photos.
Its interior shows the owner, David W. Sheet’s lofty ambitions to provide an upscale and interesting restaurant. Somewhat of a museum and art gallery, lifesized replicas of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and the Rat Pack are prominently displayed along with photos taken in the early days of Lansing’s development. There is a black and white photo with a pig farm in front of the Capitol Building and one showing the roller coaster that used to be at Lake Lansing Park in 1955.
Hard Work Pays Off
Dave W. Sheets the owner and president of the Cadillac Club has been an integral part of the community for quite some time. Sheets began his business career in 1969 at age 20, selling used furniture of his basement. During that same year, Dave opened his first “official” furniture store while also employed at the now closed Motor Wheel Corporation. In the mid-70’s he began selling furniture at steep discounts and is still known today to offer great prices. He became known as “Discount Dave” because of his desire to provide value to the people of Lansing and beyond.
Vegas Vision
Sheets always had a vision of owning a bar and restaurant. He said that he dreamed of owning a restuarant that was classy and had affordable prices. There are several dinner and lunch choices along with their new “Crusin Caddy Bar Delights menu and specialty drinks.
The Cadillac Club also offers limousine service (upon availability) to make your lunch or dinner outing special.
They also provide a variety of talent shows and musical entertainment.
It also doubles as a banquet hall, caterer and conference center for those looking for an unforgettable experience.
