Whenever I fly to Florida to spend a weekend on Home Shopping Network, Marian Getz – who joins me on-screen and previously worked as executive pastry chef at my Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe in Orlando – always greets me with a plate of freshly baked cookies.
Grand Rapids’ annual pre-holiday event, the Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer and Food Festival is set for Thursday, November 19 (5-10pm); Friday, November 20 (4pm-10pm) and Saturday, November 21 (Noon-10pm) at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids located at 303 Monroe Avenue NW. It is the largest wine festival in Michigan.
