ACLU: More than just initials

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was founded in 1920. It is the nation’s foremost advocate for individual liberty and equality and leading guardian against unwarranted government interference and abuse. Taking the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights as our blueprint, the ACLU has been a principal architect of American democracy for over 80 years.
The ACLU of Michigan works daily in the courts, legislature and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties of all. The Lansing Branch of the ACLU serves citizens in Clinton, Eaton, Jackson, Livingston and Ingham Counties.
The ACLU is involved in various issues including, Racial Justice, Freedom of Speech, Student and Youth Issues, Privacy, Worker’s, Women’s and Immigrant Rights, Criminal Justice, Voting Rights and many more.

I have recently been reading the new “TNCP” newspaper. I pick up my copy at Meijer on W. Saginaw. The Christian, Finance, Recipes and the Cartoon/Puzzle section are all in high quality and good taste. There’s a real simplicity to the whole newspaper.
I appreciate no horoscopes and no Dear Abby’s.
I also appreciate the cost and plan on being a regular reader.
