EAST LANSING, MI – The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) is investigating a homicide that appears to have occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, December 14, 2025.
ELPD officers were dispatched to Arbor Glen Apartments, located near the intersection of W. Lake Lansing Road and Abbot Road, at about 1:30 a.m. on December 14, 2025.
The victim, a male born in approximately 1988, was confirmed to be deceased at the scene by East Lansing Fire Department paramedics.
A person of interest has been identified and is being interviewed by ELPD.
The preliminary investigation suggests that this was not a random incident. ELPD does not believe there is an ongoing risk to public safety. Pending victim identification, next of kin notifications, and the ongoing investigation, further information will be released at a later time.
The Michigan State Police Lansing Crime Scene Response Team is participating in the investigation at the request of ELPD.
