The Lansing Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation invites golfers to the 2nd Annual Stuart J. Dunnings, Jr. Golf Classic on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Wheatfield Valley Golf Club in Williamston located at 1600 Linn Road.
Stuart J. Dunnings’ legacy includes a more than 50-year successful law practice, representing all walks of life. He was also a strong advocate for civil rights and an avid golfer.
Participants will win the satisfaction of helping a charitable organization. The proceeds from this tournament will benefit the three Guide Right Programs; Kappa Express youth football teams, three Kappa Express Youth Cheerleading Teams, Kappa League mentoring for young men and the Lansing Alumni Scholarship Awards. These programs are all supported by the Foundation.
Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. The shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. Lunch will also be served. Awards and door prizes will be announced at 2:00 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. The registration fee of $75 includes the greens fee for 18 holes of golf on a beautiful course, a cart and dinner will be served when players finish their rounds of play.
This golf outing has been a tradition for over 9 years, however for the last 2 years we have chosen to honor Stuart J. Dunnings, Jr. The Lansing Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi has assisted hundreds of children and adults by providing them tools that give them the opportunity to live successful and prosperous lives through participation in our programs.
