“Good Timing” Expected to Bring Enjoyment to Audiences

DETROIT, MI — The highly anticipated theatrical production “Good Timing” is hitting the Adray Auditorium on the campus of Henry Ford Community College on September 14, 2013. “Good Timing”  is centered around the 1970’s sitcom “Good Times” with a modern twist. Memorable episodes from the series are portrayed throughout the play but in a more updated scenario. The characters are portrayed the same even though the names have slightly changed due to trademark acknowledgement. This hilarious show will completely captivate the audience as they reminisce and enjoy the parody of the popular series! With an all-star cast this show is a must see!

“Good Timing” is being brought to you by Shawn P. Entertainment & Yemakinmelaff a division of Necwerk Productions. Shawn P. is the CEO of Shawn P. She has successfully written five stage plays which were produced and co-produced by Shawn P. . Her plays include “Church Folks”, “The Other Side Of The Story”, “Saving Mama”, “Hustle and  Love” and “Good Timing”.

Lanette has an extensive background and training in Technical Theater from Henry Ford Community College and Eastern Michigan University. She loves to work and assist in this area but she enjoys writing most of all.  Lanette has worked with Shawn P.  since 2006 but have known each other since their days at Murray Wright High School and have been through many obstacles, trials and test but in the end this great friendship has brought forth success.

They look forward to giving back to the community in which they serve and who supports them. They have worked with several local organizations such as  SADA’s  (Sisters Against Domestic Abuse) House, a domestic violence organization, Pleasant Grove Willing Workers board, COTS (Coalition on Temporary Shelter), and now a partnership with It Takes a Village. With the production Good Timing  they want to focus on organizations that are working to spotlight the many missing African Americans that do not get media coverage. There are 4,000 loved ones missing in Michigan and the majority is African American.
