This is a notification from the Ingham County Non-Public Alert System:
On Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at approximately 1:45 p.m., our School Resource Officer was notified by Holt Sr. High School administration that they located and recovered a handgun that was in the backpack of a Holt High School Student. They separated the student from the backpack and promptly determined it contained a loaded handgun. They called law enforcement and the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate. A 16-year-old male was taken into custody and lodged at the Ingham County Youth Home. The report will be forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutors Office for possible criminal charges.
