News Spotlight: Initiating Communities Helping Area Neighborhoods Gain Empowerment Giving out

Dear Community Partners,

Initiating Communities Helping Area Neighborhoods Gain Empowerment (ICHANGE) is a non-profit community focused mental health organization partnering with the Lansing Association of Black Social Workers (LABSW) with a mission to empower, advocate for, and address the social determinants of Michigan’s underserved populations. We are reaching out to you because we have recently received funds from the Ingham County Community Grant to provide essential resources for our community members in need, and are hoping that you can help them to connect with us by sharing this information.

ICHANGE will be open from 10 am – 2 pm on the 4th Saturday of every month, except the 3rd Saturday for November and December to distribute resources on a first come, first serve basis with 30 x $25 Visa Gift cards (available per month). Resources will be available from April through December 2024.

Participants must bring their driver’s license (or another official document) to prove that they are a resident of Ingham County and complete a brief Ingham County Community Grant Participant Program form.

Our Community Partners with available free resources:  Deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, socks, underwear, and personal hygiene.
