By Kris WalkerAlthough it is a practice of mine to celebrate Black women 365 days of the year, I stand with the rest of the U.S, as we take these 28 days in February especially to highlight and bring awareness to amazing women doing positive things in the world.
Today I want to highlight Krisi Hudson. Krisi is first and foremost a poised, professional and quite pretty person. A strong woman who has chosen to become a mother and nuture the life of a precious little girl. Of course we know that being a mom is a full time job in itself. Like many women in today's society of hard working, high achievers, Krisi has decided to successfully combine entrepreneurship with parenting.
Her business K1 Services, is a company that was established with the idea of creating fun interactive events designed around good food & drinks. “We firmly believe that food & drinks are great conversation pieces and help to create memorable experiences.”
We can all agree that good food and drinks can be both great conversation starters and a bonding tool. In this effort to bring people together in celebration for any occasion, K1 Services events range from elaborate outdoor cookouts in the park and mixology affairs to her latest and greatest event, a Coming to America 2 movie themed interactive pop-up shop for family members of all ages.
This first of its kind event in our area will take over the city starting March 04, 2021 in Detroit, Mi. The event will feature a warehouse space transformed into various scenes from the classic movie.
There will be live music, food, cocktails and mocktails for the kids, a picture wall, contest, giveaways and much more to experience. The event organizers and participants must all adhere to Covid-19 guidelines and safety measures will be in place. With that said this will be a sell out event surely to start a new trend here locally.
“As the year progresses we plan to host more events in the Detroit metro area.”, says Krisi.
These unique interactive pop-up shops are already popular in places like D.C, Atlanta and New York.
It is very refreshing to see people still working to safely create spaces for people to get out, socialize and have fun in a safe family friendly environment.
