On Sunday, September 14, 2025, around 5:30 p.m. the Lansing Police Department was
dispatched to the area of Aurelius Road and E Malcolm X Street for a shooting.
When officers responded to the scene, they found a 57-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the
chest. The victim is in critical but stable condition. At this time, it is believed the victim and the
suspect knew each other.
No arrests have been made.
This remains an active investigation.
