Ms. Kimbrough who is originally from Ohio, has been living in Lansing for one year. One of her client’s told her about the contest. Even though she did not think that she had a chance to compete with some of Detroit’s hairdressers who are notorious for their flamboyant styles.
She along with other Lansing residents, including model Stacy Rembert took the trip to the competition after a long day of work.
Excited that she won $500.00 in her first competition, Ms. Kimbrough said that she has the confidence to enter many more contests.
