E. LANSING, MI — Leroy Hunt was at Holden Hall on Michigan State University’s campus at 8:30 am waiting for the free unused food, laundry detergent and other items that students returning home for summer vacation donated to the Make a Difference Foundation’s food program.
Hunt originally from Detroit said that heard about the event from his social worker at Capital Area Community Services, Angela Swanchara who heard about the event on the radio station WQHH 96.5.
Joshua Gillespie said, “We serviced over 100 families during this event and we hope to involve more Michigan State University resident halls this time it was just Holden Hall”.
There was plenty of food and supplies leftover that were donated to the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing and other area families.
