Reynovations, LLC
In 2003, Nanette Reynolds retired from state government, including a ten year tenure as director of the Civil Rights Department in both Democratic and Republican administrations. She then founded Reynovations, LLC to assist organizations and institutions “achieve the benefits of diversity.” She’s also been Senior Advisor to the President of Grand Valley State University since 2004.
Further, Dr. Reynolds is an inspirational public speaker who in March and April will speak about Viola Liuzzo as part of a traveling exhibit sponsored by Davenport University. An active community volunteer, Dr. Reynolds is on the Greater Lansing Commission on Race and Diversity, assisting with its “community dinners” initiative and serving on its Business Diversity Forum planning committee. In the fall she was the volunteer coordinator of “Passing the Torch,” an intercultural/intergenerational program on Proposal 2. Dr. Reynolds is a member of Trinity A.M.E. Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The Links, Inc. and the MI Psychological Association Foundation board. She holds a B.A. from Howard and a doctorate from Harvard Universities.
Dr. Reynolds is the proud mother of Michon Imani Reynolds, a musician and entrepreneur in Atlanta, GA and Malika Sylvain who lives in East Lansing with her daughters Brielle (8) and Cierra (6). Malika is Lansing Branch Manager of Shared Demands, Inc., an errand-running and personal concierge firm which she co-owns with her sister.
