News Spotlight: Burglary Suspect Caught on Lansing’s Eastside

 
On June 11, 2012 at  approximately 12:00 midnight, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South Francis in reference a burglary in progress.
Residence of the home advised Lansing Police Department (LPD) dispatch they confronted a subject (suspect) inside of their house. Once confronted the suspect ran out of the house with the resident following. The resident and roommates lost sight of the suspect. The resident gave LPD dispatcher a detailed description of the suspect and direction of travel.
Officers responded and observed the suspect in the 200 block of Francis. The suspect observed the Officers and ran behind neighborhood houses.
With the help of LPD K-9, Officers located the suspect (a juvenile) hiding under a nearby deck. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The juvenile suspect is being held in the LPD juvenile detention area and charges are being sought.
