News Spotlight: Elderly Couple Become Victims of Fraud

The Lansing Police Department (LPD) is requesting for the public to be aware of three males that are allegedly targeting the elderly. On July, 23, 2012 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. 3 males contacted a residence on the 1700 block of Illinois St. The male subjects told an elderly couple that they worked for a concrete company and planned to inspect the driveway. While 2 of the male subjects distracted the victims a third accused entered the house and stole a variety of property. The victims were not injured during this incident. The males have not been contacted and are described below;
1. Accused #1- White or Hispanic male, 20 yoa, 5’7”and “clean cut.”
2. Accused #2- White or Hispanic male, 20 yoa, heavy set (220 lbs.), longer hair, dark shirt and pock marks on face.
3. Accused #3- White or Hispanic male, 20 yoa, thinner build and wearing a white shirt.
4. Vehicle Information – Grey SUV, Van or Truck with a gold insignia (newer model vehicle)
