An error that was discovered on Thursday, January 3, that impacted 85,000 impacted cards are now fixed. Those food assistance recipients and their families can now receive their food assistance. The Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) worked nonstop to restore cards with the needed benefits.
“We understand the hardship caused to families and we are reviewing current practices and processes to ensure that this problem doesn’t happen again,” said DTMB spokesperson Kurt Weiss.
