Homicide Investigation
On Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at approximately 10:45 p.m. Lansing Police were dispatched to an apartment in the 4900 block of S. Pennsylvania on a Medial call (check welfare of the resident).
Upon arrival, and assisted by the Lansing Fire Department, Officers locate a 31 year old male (victim) unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds. Medical treatment was rendered, however the victim was pronounced deceased. No other individuals were located inside of the residence.
Lansing Police are investigating this as a Homicide and are working at processing the scene while Investigators continue to gain information. This Homicide investigation is at the early stages and information is subject to change. Updated information will be shared as it comes available.

UPDATE: The Homicide victim from October 3, 2017 (4900 block of S. Pennsylvania) has been identified as;
Joshua Dewayne Chester (31yrs./Lansing, MI)
