News Spotlight: Homicide Investigation -3600 block of Donald St.-

On October 6th, at approximately 10:30 pm, Lansing Police Officers responded to a report of a shots fired in the 3600 block of Donald Street. Ingham County Dispatch updated responding Officers there was a subject shot in the street. Officers arrived on scene and located a 31 year old male, David John Kessler from Lansing, MI not responsive in the roadway with an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered first-aid until Lansing Fire Medics took over. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

 
Officers, Detectives, and Crime scene investigators continue to work on this crime. At this preliminary time in the investigation the motive is unknown. The investigation is ongoing and fluid, information and details are subject to change. No suspect has been identified or apprehended at this point. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
