News Spotlight: Lansing Has a New Cold Case Website and Detective

 Lansing Police Department has established a website page for cold cases. Cold cases are homicide cases that have not been solved within one year of the date of the crime.

Detective Lee McCallister (left) is Lansing’s new Cold Case investigator.  He is an 18 year veteran with the department and was promoted to detective in 2010.  Prior to his promotion, Detective McCallister served as a task force officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for 9 years.  He also worked in the departments’s Special Operation Section for several years.  

The police department recently created a website that lists unsolved homicides from 2003 – 2013.
