After an ongoing investigation, a 23-year-old Lansing mother, Alexandra Alexi, was charged Friday with the September, 2014 death of her infant son.
She was arrested without incident and arraigned on charges of homicide, torture and two counts of child abuse. She remains jailed on a $200,000 bond.
Police went to Alexi’s apartment in the 600 block of Sadie Court in Lansing early in the morning of September 3, 2014. When they arrived, She and her boyfriend were attempting CPR on her two-month-old son, Julian Alexi.
Julian died nine days later of significant brain injuries.
