WHO: Those who are interested in careers in Advanced Manufacturing (from entry-level through front-line supervisor) with a focus on being a Certified Production Technician.
WHAT: The Certified Production Technician (CPTAE) is an industry-recognized program to prepare individuals for careers in Advanced Manufacturing Production through the successful completion of certification assessments. This program is made up of four classes: Safety, Quality Practices and Measurement, Manufacturing Processes and Production, and Maintenance Awareness.
This FREE program covers all expenses for the student—including class materials.
WHEN: The first course begins July 7, however the student must participate in an informational session prior to enrolling.
WHY: There were 330,000 job openings in manufacturing in January, 2015, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). These certifications, offer both entry-level and incumbent workers the opportunity to demonstrate that they have acquired the knowledge and skills increasingly needed in the technology-intensive advanced manufacturing jobs of the 21st century.
