LANSING, MI– On Tuesday, October 14, 2014, detectives from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Tri-County Metro Narcotics Team seized 4.1 ounces of heroin, over $4,500, packaging materials and other paraphernalia after executing a search warrant at the home of a suspected heroin dealer in Lansing. The search warrant was executed after an extensive undercover operation.
On October 15, 2014, Roshawn Marcell Carroll, 37, of Lansing, was arraigned in 54-A District Court on charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin, maintaining a drug house and third habitual offender offense.
Detectives were assisted by the Lansing Police Department’s Special Tactics and Rescue Team (S.T.A.R.T.). This investigation is ongoing.
The Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad is a multi-jurisdictional task force serving Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties. The task force investigates drug trafficking at all levels with an emphasis on mid to upper level drug trafficking. The squad is comprised of two teams. Each team investigates both street level and conspiracy cases. Participating agencies include: Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, East Lansing Police Department, Ingham County Sheriff’s Office, Lansing Police Department and the Michigan State Police.
