News Spotlight: Shooting Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge

 

On March 13, 2016 at approximately 1:00A.M. Lansing Police Officers were patrolling the area of Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge, 6810 S. Cedar, preparing for anticipated crowd and traffic control due to a large event at the club. Hundreds of patrons were present at the Club where a music artist was performing.
 
Shortly after 1:00 A.M. Officers observed numerous people rapidly exiting the Club. At this time Lansing Officers were getting reports of shooting victims inside the Club. Officers entered the establishment to mitigate further harm and render aid to victims. Officers observed several patrons actively fighting. Officers encountered resistance and assaultive actions inside the establishment while attempting to locate possible shooting victims. Officers located two victims with apparent gunshot wounds and rendered aid until Lansing Fire paramedics arrived.
 
All on duty Lansing Police personnel and officers from several area agencies were summoned to assist in stabilizing the scene at both the night club and an area hospital.
 
Three victims (25, 29 & 33 year old Lansing men) of gun fire were treated at area hospitals for serious but non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
 
Lansing Police Investigators continue to review available information and pursue existing leads in an effort to bring those responsible to justice. Due to the most recent violence at the Club, LPD and the City will be taking additional steps to ensure this does not occur again.
