News Spotlight: Shooting on Cedar and Holmes Near Barbershop

 

On Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at approximately 3:48 p.m. Lansing Police were dispatched to a fight and possible shots fired in the area of S. Cedar and Holmes. Upon Officer arrival, two subjects were located in the road (Holmes) yelling at each other. Officers investigation and based on several witnesses statements, discovered both subjects were physically fighting and one of the subjects fired a gun at the other. Officers made an arrest of the subject (suspect) while other officers searched for the handgun. The other subject (victim) was not injured as a result of the assault and no medical treatment was needed. Investigating officers located and recovered two hand guns during their search of the general area. The suspect was transported to the Lansing Police Detention facility and lodged.
 
Detailed investigative report concerning this crime were completed and submitted to the Ingham County Prosecutors office for review and charge request.
 
Charge(s) were issued on the 41 year old Lansing man. Arraignment was in 54-A District court in front of Magistrate Millmore on the following charge(s).
