LANSING, MI — The Power of 9 kick-off event, at The Venue Live located at 6810 S. Cedar St., was a great success. Lansing gospel rapper, Mizz Reality started the program and set a positive tone (as shown above), followed by the Pioneers for Peace from Detroit who spread the message of violence prevention and last but not least, five young people took to the stage for open mic with song, spoken word, and ministry in mime! The Park West Foundation Blue Babies, a program for youth who have aged out of foster care, were also on hand to give the youth an encouraging word. Power 96.5 FM radio personalities Eddie Kane and Cameo King were MC’d and DJ Radd1 was on the turntables.
