Sept. 26 Expo Connects Job Seekers, Employers

More than 2,000 job seekers are expected to turn out to meet with employers, interview for jobs and network at the Capital Area Michigan Works!’ Fall Job Expo 2006. 

"The expo offers a great opportunity for job seekers," says Douglas E. Stites, CEO of Capital Area Michigan Works! , "but candidates should remember this event is going to give employers a first impression of the job seekers.  Attendees should be prepared to put their best face forward."

The Capital Area Michigan Works! job expo will be held Tuesday, September 26 in the Lansing Center ballroom at 333 East Michigan Avenue, downtown Lansing.  The free event is open to the public from 2:30 until 6:00 p.m.  Job seekers should bring extra copies of their resumes, be prepared to interview and dress for success.  The most current list of participating employers is available at www.camw.org.  The Fall 2006 Job Expo will be sponsored by Fox 47, the Lansing State Journal, the Michigan Commission for the Blind and Lansing Community College.
